Tour Terms and Conditions

SCOTTISH POOL ASSOCIATION
2015 Scottish Ladies Blackball Pool Tour
Terms & Conditions

Entry Fee: Entry to the tour is £100.00 for five events throughout the year. If a player wishes to join the tour after the first event, the following entry fees must be paid prior to competing: Event No. 2 - £80.00 (£20.00 per event), Event No. 3 - £60.00 (£20.00 per event), Event No. 4 - £40.00 (£20.00 per event) and Event No. 5 - £20.00 (£20.00 per event). Once you have entered the tour you are required to pay the full amount. Failure to do so will result in an application being made to the SPA to debt suspend you from all SPA competitions, this will last until the full amount is paid.

Slow Play: Following the conclusion of the frame in play, after 60 minutes if four frames have not been completed, the match will be cut by 2 frames i.e. from best of 11 frames to best of 9. Any player taking longer than one minute between shots is liable to receive firstly, a warning from either the tournament director or official, followed by a foul being awarded to their opponent, with the ultimate penalty being loss of that frame (these warnings are live for the whole of the tour event).

Match start times: It is the player's responsibility to ensure that they are available when their match is called. Should a match be called and a player not arrive she will be docked one frame straight away and a further frame for every ten minutes that she does not appear. Should a player not arrive at all, after the time allowed, their opponent will be awarded the match. Such matches are classed as walkovers. Tour events will commence at 11am sharp.

Rules: All matches are played to EBA Blackball Rules.

Dress-code: All players must wear a polo shirt, shoes and trousers. (No jeans, trainers, or leggings are permitted.)

Drug Testing: As per SPA rules/regulations drug testing is carried out at SPA sanctioned event, therefore you may subjected to a drug test. Refer to SPA drug policy on www.scottishpool.com for further information (SPA Drug Testing Policy attached).

Conduct: All players are expected to play and act in a sportsmanlike manner at all times at each event. It should be noted that all players are also responsible for their own spectator’s conduct as well. If necessary a player will be warned and then penalised for any unsportsmanlike behaviour from friends or supporters. Unladylike conduct or misbehaviour will be dealt with as the tournament official sees fit, including expulsion from the competition.

Any damage caused by a player or a players guest, in the venue will be liable to be paid. Any player seen causing any damage or behaving in any way which could harm the SPA/EBA may result in disqualification from the tournament and any other events that are run by the SPA/EBA in the future.

Referee: It should be noted that there will NOT be a referee for individual matches. A senior referee will be in attendance at each event. It is the player's own responsibility to ask for the referee to be present for any particular shot that may require adjudication. Players are expected to act in a sportsmanlike manner and should it be highlighted that any player tries to abuse this arrangement then the tournament staff will report this to the SPA Tournament Director/Disciplinary Committee.

The tour organises/tour official’s decision will be deemed as final, however players have the right of appeal and should the need arise, complaints should be put in writing to the ladies tour organiser (Yvonne Ewing).
