Day two of the festival sees the start of the mixed doubles competition. I will keep you all posted as and when I can with the results.

Format is double elimination, best of 9 in the winners side.

Pairings are:-

Diane Colville & Paul Johnston
Fiona Herd & Craig McGillivray
Katie Paterson & Joan Marinya
Gaynor McHaffie & John Reid
Jenny Lawson & Paul Kavanagh
Yvonne Ewing & Ross McInnes
Kim Black & Paul Halley

Schedule:

Sunday - 3 person team competition

Monday - mixed doubles, gents doubles, seniors singles & juniors singles

Tuesday - open singles competition

Wednesday - ladies singles competition

Thursday - continuation of all events to final stage

Friday - FINALS - all filmed and televised.

Update on the mixed doubles competition - played to double elimination.

Semi finals on the winners side are:-

Pat OKane/Amanda Watson -v- Craig Macgillivray/Fiona Herd

and

Ross McInnes/Yvonne Ewing -v- Joan Marminya/Katie Paterson


Losers section has still a lot of matches to be played but Scottish players still involved are:-

John Reid/Gaynor McHaffie


Matches played to a final on Thursday night.

Lmao, it'll depend on which Yvo's present - if it's the "aye whitever" one then all good but if it's the p'd aff prison officer one then Ross is in trouble lol, could be fireworks!

Was realy pleased to watch the scotland ladies play in Catalonia. Everyone played to a high level and this I believe was due to the fact that we all had plenty of table time.

A good, chilled week and cracking company with the six others that attended; Yvonne Ewing, Gaynor McHaffie, Jenny Lawson, D|iane Colville, Fiona Herd, Katie Paterson & Kim Black.

Three person team: Paul Halley (Sco), Aram Bernaus (Cat) & Raul Mendez (Cat).

Gents Doubles: Roman Temporal & Danny Urela (Cat)

Mixed Doubles: Ross McInnes & Yvonne Ewing (Sco)

Ladies Individuals: Yvonne Ewing, defeating Diane Colville in final - third place Kim Black & 4th place Katie Paterson

Seniors: Ross McInnes, defeating Pat OŽKane in final.

Gents individuals: Christophe Lambert, defeating Roman Temporal in final.
