Just for info ladies - we are getting very heavily written off as having no chance of qualifying from the group on the main site.

Am I the only one who's heading up there determined to show them just HOW good we actually are?? Or is anybody else up for ramming some of those words where the sun don't shine?? Wink

Moan nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

venue i have to say i prefer to ayr as overall it offers better service, caravans, facilities ie food & entertainment.

Team i have to say were unfortunate not to qualify as i know Diane was kinda hoping by playing the A girls early on would hope to gain at least a couple of frames and unfortunately this didnt happen just wasnt a good performance for some including me and for which i can only apologise. On a good point i have to say well done to the other girls on pulling some frames back really made our team stronger as a team imo. Would like to especially point out how particularly well Jackie Mac played this weekend in my opinion. Told you you were turning into a dark horse maw x

Format i felt games were too far apart but that was probably partly down to luck of the draw. With the games being a few hours in between we seemed to lose the momentum and boost in team spirit that we had towards the end of our games. Also i know the event is run by Yvonne and Elaine etc but i also felt this let our team down slightly as between smokers and top table duties there were times when our players were on and there was only 3 or 4 players there supporting in comparision to the other teams where the majority were there till they finished playing.

Thats all i can think of Yvonne...hope it was ok x

Really enjoyed the weekend, however really didnt think the team wer together as much as they could have been. Best banter we had was in practice!!!! Just dont think this is good enough. we were unlucky, going 5 0 down in first 2 matches really didnt help in team spirit!!! Jackie Mac was awesome, kept her cool and potted her wee socks off,, well done maw!!!!!! Hope brid can bring team spirit together xx

Its hard when some of us are involved in running the event. I will say however that the top table team were there a lot during each match, I only had to leave once to deal with a few things.

I feel however that it was nothing to do with luck, we missed lots of really good chances and being honest, if players dont improve and put the time in I fear for us in Brid - experienced players missed tap ins and it looks like a lot of the team just wanted to pot balls, even if there wasnt a finish - let be honest about it lol.

As for the timings Yvonne, this didnt help as clearly a lot of our team used the time off to quench their thirst!

However, dont doubt Jenny, Team Scotland will be out in force in Briclington - of that O have no doubt.

agree that the standard was pretty poor, i for 1 missed a tap in finish.
team moral is very important at these events. I for 1 want to do well for the team, this i feel i didnt, but as we say, you only get out what you put in, so its off to the practice tables i go!!!!1 Com on the ladies!!!!!!Scotlaaaaaaaaand!

This is a positive thing and should serve as a kick in the bum and nothing else. One of the best things about getting match practice like this is it lets you know where you're at. Like you've said get on the practice tables and make good use of Paul and it'll all come good. Sit back and cross your fingers assuming you'll play well and we're all screwed lol!

Shouldn't be going for a smoke during a best of 11 match - nae need! For all the time it takes everyone should stay and support the team. (and I'm a smoker)

As for Saunders other point regarding the team being a bit dispersed, maybe Yvo could put the Ladies team on the tables nearest the top table all the time, as this wouldn't really have an effect on any other team? Just to keep us all close together.

thats a good idea katie.

this event was just as claire says a good kick up the bottom for us. I have personally spoke to paul at the weekend to arrange to meet him get my game sorted big time. Played some terrible pool at weekend but know how to sort it. Wednesday nights arent good for Paul Yvonne i am arranging to possibly meet paul next monday if anyone else interested. Really dont want to go down to bridlington on the back of a performance like that so really wanna get on top of it asap....
