Scottish Pool Association,
2012 Individual Membership.

Entries are now being accepted for the 2012 Scottish Pool Association Individual Membership Events. Entry is £25.00 per person for the year. For your £25.00 you will be entered into five National Competitions – The Scottish Classic, The Scottish Champion/Champions, The Scottish Masters, The Grand Prix and the Mick McGoldrick Trophy. The prize fund for these competitions is based on the national entries and was circa £18,000.00 last season.

Please note the following:-

1) Cheques are to be made payable to “SPA Individual Membership” and sent to me at the address noted below.

2) All qualifying matches will be best of 11 frames except Event 5 which will be best of 9 frames.

3) There will be a date set for all qualifying matches.

4) The Individual Membership is not compulsory for lady players again this year but if you wish to be part of the ladies Super 11’s and Super 15’s teams you have to be registered in the IM through the ladies area. I would therefore request that you pay your subscription by the closing date which is strictly 27th November, 2011 (entries have to be given at the SPA meeting on 4th December, 2011).

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours in Sport,

(Sgd) Yvonne Ewing

Yvonne Ewing,
Team Manager.

EMAIL WILL BE SENT TO EVERYONE IN THE NEXT DAY OR TWO REGARDING OUR IM AREA FOR 2012.

Come on folks, lets get some names in for this.
5 events for £25 quid, great value for money, with a chance of playing in the most prestigous tournaments in Scotland up for grabs.

Not to mention continuing to be able to put teams into the Super 11s and 15s events, which is undoubtedly the best preparation possible for our International events, that will keep Scotland winning trophy after trophy!!

After the weekend, any more names for this - its fab for us to play in a single frame event (best preparation for internationals we can get).

It was a fab weekend with many, many positives.

Gill and I were considering playing through Glasgow as organising matches proved a nightmare this year. However as the Super 11's and 15's are such good fun we will continue to play for the ladies, however would ask that more structure is set-out for the organising of games.

It was left to the players as per their request last year Gemma, it didnt work so I will organise dates for qualifiers for 2012.

Yes, I know. I initially requested that too , however it really doesn't work. Thanks Yvo, Gill and I will be playing through the ladies.

Just to reiterate ladies that the SPA ruling is that which area you play your IM through ties you to that area for the season.

i.e. if you play IM through the Glasgow league this is the only area you can play super 11s or 15s from. As a lady player you cant play IM's through Glasgow and represent the ladies at supers events. It seems that some arent clear on this ruling (I dont make them, I only administer them).

I am playing my IMs through Midlothian, i understand i wont be able to play super for the ladies next year, i have to admit that i had such a great time (first in a long while) at the 15s with the girls this year i had doubts about who to go through. i wish all you girls going through ladies Im area all the success.
